In this age of advanced technology, it seems like companies are popping up everywhere. In the words of Jiggaman, I won't knock the hustle. However, it appears that with the quick buck, customer service has been neglected or not even thought of...period.
Recently, there has been issues between a popular monthly online subscription natural hair service and its customers. Do I subscribe to the service? No. I don't have a dog in this fight. Well, yeah I do...we ALL do!
As you know, many natural hair bloggers are provided with samples (some free, some paid) from companies for the blogger/vlogger's opinion on their product(s) in hopes that the blogger/vlogger's loyal subscribers will garner their company some increased sales.
I encourage anyone who blogs/vlogs about natural hair to be as professional as possible. If you DON'T know what that means...exhibit a courteous, conscientious, and generally businesslike manner in the workplace, i.e: online. For that matter, anyone who is a #BOSS should be professional at all times...NO MATTER the type of business. Learn how to control YOURSELF. Because believe it or not, your inability to do so DOES reflect poorly on the rest of us!
Those subscribing to these monthly services - you're not above reproach! I don't endorse that "the customer is always right". You DON'T have to do business with those who don't treat you like you want to be treated. But maliciously attacking someone for their past ill-advised behavior is childish. But we are adults. We don't have to succumb to such behavior. While I don't believe that the customer is not always right, I do believe that the customer is still the customer. Want to make your point and be heard? Want to be respected? Withdraw your support, your money, etc. STOP feeding it! Either they will learn or they won't. If they do, great. If they don't, move on...
It was very sad to see such bad behavior from such beautiful people on BOTH sides! I likened it to black-on-black crime...destroying one another for nothing. We should be here to support, uplift and encourage one another in positive business ventures.
What company would want to do business with people who don't exhibit decorum amongst each other??? The in-fighting MUST stop. Something to think about.
In the words of a former HS classmate, "Peace & love and don't push & shove. Ya feel me?"
